For student-athletes, opportunities at UCF no longer end at graduation. With the Varsity Knights we are dedicated to creating programs for all our former student-athletes that will provide an outlet for business networking, professional development and mentorship options.

Members of Varsity Knights will consist of former student-athletes who have earned a varsity letter, and have completed their eligibility at the University of Central Florida in any UCF varsity sport. There will be no charge for membership and cost for events (if any)will be passed along to members in attendance.

The purpose and objective of the members of the Varsity Knights is to promote the UCF brand as letter winners by fostering a close relationship with and providing support to former and current student athletes, the UCF Athletics Department, and the University as a whole. As quoted from UCF Athletic Director Todd Stansbury,

“Our goal is to build relationships with business professionals in the community and help provide more opportunities and mentoring for student-athletes. This will help in career development and will also allow a
platform to educate our student-athletes about what it takes to be a business professional.”

The Varsity Knights will create an environment where former student-athletes are involved with current student-athletes as they build business professionalism within the program. The Varsity Knights primary functions are to promote:

I. Business Networking

• Peer to peer networking night on campus
• Networking nights between Varsity Knights and local Orlando Business leaders
• Networking Knights for our student-athletes that will include Varsity Knights and local business leaders

II. Mentoring

• Varsity Knight paired up with student-athlete within respective sport 

III. Community Service

• Knights Without Borders (overseas community service)
• Clothe the Homeless initiatives
• Partnership with Central Florida Children’s Home
